The Tri-City Connection operates every 60 minutes between the downtown areas of Gary, East Chicago and Hammond, connecting to the bus systems of East Chicago Transit (ECT), the Hammond Transit System (HTS), and Pace Suburban Bus.  This bus is primarily express—and requires an express fare—but will make local stops in Gary as well. 

 

Key stops include the Gary Metro Center, Gary/Chicago International Airport, Buffington Harbor, St. Catherine Hospital and the Dan Rabin Transit

 

 

CONNECTIONS TO OTHER GPTC ROUTES

 

The Tri-City Connection provides connections to the South Shore commuter rail, local and express bus routes at the Metro Center.  It also provides the following additional transit connections:

 

5th Ave @ Clark Rd:

     Route 11 (5th & Colfax) at the Commons

     Shopping Center

 

 

CONNECTIONS TO OTHER BUS SYSTEMS

 

The Tri-City Connection connects to other bus systems at the following locations:
